The Vanguardia shares a study that makes us jump the alarm signal: 1 in 4 girls aged 17-21 prefer to trust an IA rather than a human to talk about their fears or anguish.

This is not just due to technological progress. It has roots in what we have neglected as a society: mental health, emotional education, accessible support networks.

Urgent issues to be put on the table:

- Formal emotional education.

- Public mental health resources.

- Stigma vs vulnerability.

- Ethical regulation of young user-oriented IA.

- The role of educators and parents.

Possible actions we should urgently take:

- Integrate pilot programs into educational centres to teach emotions, resilience and active listening.

- To finance school psychology, free or low-cost counselling.

- Create proactive, non-reactive public mental health policies.

- Establish legal and ethical standards for IA that is presented as "confidant."

- To promote a culture of support: let young people know that they are not alone, that there are real people ready to help.

If we work well now, we can prevent the IA from becoming a first point of support in crisis situations rather than a complementary tool.

I share my thoughts on Substack And if you can vote on what you think about this, I'd love to know your opinion.
