One of the things make me feel more excited about 2026 is my job. It is not a very fashionable thing to say nowadays. I feel we are in the era of «work is not important. Cannot be the center of your life». But we are in a historical moment. Doesn’t happen often. Add to that this historical moment join together my favourite themes: Ethics, Psychology, Technology.
I am one of that ones highlighting what I find interesting in one book. This book is HIGHLY HIGHLIGHTED!
I believe the world is shifting. Europe is old. Tired. Hungry and ambicious areas are taking over. I like that energy they have. Hungry for discovery. Hungry for improvement. While our side of the world hasn’t been even bother to get curious about how technology is impacting our lives. How our political choices are driving us to consecuences. We forgot history. We don’t teach history in a way that young people understands, analyse, care. We erased philosophy. We erased ethic studies. Critical Thinking.
Instead of taking advantage of our position, we chose comfort and easiness.
To make good decisions about our future, we should be asking ourselves questions that Hamish is writing at his book. But, who reads anymore?

Empezando el año con una lectura fascinante de Hamish McRae.
Una de las cosas que más me motiva este 2026 es mi trabajo. Decir eso no está muy de moda hoy en día. Siento que estamos en la era de «el trabajo no es importante. No puede ser el centro de tu vida». Pero estamos en un momento histórico y esto no ocurre muy a menudo. Si le sumamos que este momento histórico une mis temas favoritos: ética, psicología y tecnología, voila!
El mundo está cambiando. Europa es el viejo continente, cansado. Las áreas del mundo ambiciosas y con ganas están tomando el control. Me gusta esa energía que tienen. Ávidas de descubrimiento. Ávidas de mejora. Mientras que nuestra parte del mundo ni siquiera se ha molestado en sentir curiosidad por cómo la tecnología está impactando nuestras vidas. Cómo nuestras decisiones políticas nos están llevando a ciertas consecuencias. Hemos olvidado la historia. No enseñamos historia de una manera atractiva para que los jóvenes tengan interés, analicen y les importe. Borramos la filosofía y la ética de los currículums escolares y con ello, el pensamiento crítico.
En lugar de aprovecharnos de nuestra posición, optamos por la comodidad y la tranquilidad. Para tomar buenas decisiones sobre nuestro futuro, deberíamos plantearnos las preguntas que Hamish escribe en su libro.
